ORIGINAL MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Fri & Sat, July 28-29, 2006 at 8pm Sun, July 30, 2006 at 2pm The Dragon Theatre at 539 Alma St in Palo Alto, California $18 General & $15 Student/Senior. Reservations Strongly Recommended.

Performing in July on our new mainstage home at at the Dragon Theatre, Spiritual Coffee is a celebration of world cultures and thought.

This concert is full of original music, written and performed by Gina Maria, which is based on the sacred texts of Eastern and Western religions, as well as some of today’s great thinkers.

Based in western musical traditions with cultural influences and instruments from each region where the sacred text originated, this wonderful music has been composed in the emerging “classical crossover” style (made famous by such artists as Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban) and has a world music flavor.

The original songs will be interlaced with many extraordinary additional performances by professional guest artists such as storytellers from various cultures, gospel singers, belly dancers, and more!

The songs and guest performances will be presented in what we call narrative concert fashion – performances linked by a consistent theme and interlaced with dialogue by not only the primary performers, but also with you, the audience. As each person holds a unique wisdom of his/her own, we look forward to hearing your insights, too!!

A CD of the night’s music will also be available. Go to our Demo page to check out the music for free or buy the album!

Tickets will be available on our website (www.latimerlo.com), and the album will also be available for purchase by May 2006.

We welcome your thoughts around this event as we plan and perform segments of the concert this spring at various locales. Contact us at 650-533-6205 with suggestions or you’d like to bring a preview performance to your group or congregation!

Our 2006 Student Concert Production...

Sat, July 22, 2006 at 8pm & Sun, July 23 at 4pm Barrett Community Center Theatre in Belmont $4 General Tickets. Reservations Recommended—650-533-6205

We are pleased to announce the first annual Student Production! Performed by students aged 11-19, this narrative concert features The Latimerlo Studio students and friends singing, acting, even dancing!

The music will include songs from the musicals Rent, Wicked, and Into the Woods, and popular music by such artists as Josh Groban, Kelly Clarkson, and more. The songs are interwined in our narrative concert fashion to create a holistic concert experience. “I’m thrilled about this new project,” remarks Gina. “It will give my students a chance to perform in a high-quality, fun concert tailored to each student’s strengths.”

To empower students as much as possible, we are having four students intern as Stage Directors, Music Director, Choreographer. Under our guidance, students will learn how to produce and direct productions at a young age. "This is invaluable in the world of theatre, as so much is 'do-it-yourself.,'" adds Gina.

A concert for students by students!

The Ever After Premieres in San Francisco

LMS Productions proudly presents the world premiere of The Ever After at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood Playhouse in San Francisco on Saturdays, July 30 and August 6 at 8pm and Sundays, July 31 and August 7 at 3pm. This original script reveals the story of what really happens after the fairytales end.

Set in modern day America, three fairytale princesses confront the pressures, realities, and consequences of the life they have chosen. Directed by 20-year veteran director and performer, Kay Kleinerman, this play challenges our perceptions of a happy ending: "The 'happily ever after' stories that most of us learn and know, repeatedly have only one possible ending," reflects Kleinerman. "The Ever After not only turns what we've learned about "traditional" happy endings on its head, but allows for the idea of a variety of 'happy endings.""

San Francisco native playwright Gina Latimerlo adds, "This show addresses the reality that underlies the facades that the media tries to sell us. Would it really all turn out all right if fairytale princesses went off and married the first man who kissed them? Particularly after being asleep or confined for most of their formative teenage years?'

Rana Kangas-Kent (July & August - San Francisco performance)/Amanda Latimore (September - NDNU performance), Brittany Madson, and Gina Latimerlo play the three fairytale princesses who have married the brothers of the Charming family, who are played by Phil Warnecke(August)/Chad Strawn (September).

Blake and Alexandra Mongiello round out this small, exuberant cast.

Originally produced August and September 2005

LMS Productions proudly presents this narrative concert which features the music of the new “crossover classical style,” made famous by such artists as Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.  Our concert features songs such as “To Where You Are,” “Con Te Partiro,” and“Starry, Starry Night,” as well as original music and freshly arranged music.

The performers Gina Latimerlo, David Greenbaum, Katharine Greenbaum, and Rick Richetta are all veterans of the stage with beautiful, rich voices, and exciting and charismatic presentations.  Our talented musicians, Takako Sato Williams, Jacob Kramer, and Malin Huffman, are renowned artists with individualistic flair and talent.  This is a concert experience not to be missed.

Originally produced in October of 2004.

This solo, cabaret performance event features both popular and little-known tunes from the worlds of musical theatre and jazz...all reflecting on this wonderful journey called life.

“The Journey” kicks off a new performance series by The Latimerlo Studio, a teaching and performing studio located in Belmont. The Latimerlos began this series as a way of combining their love for performance with their strong sense of individual self-realization. “I want to be able to perform, on my own terms, in a number of different styles with a number of different and talented performers,” Gina Latimerlo reflects.  “It’s also wonderful for my students to be able to see and experience the depth and breadth of performance genres.”

This initial performance itself promises to be a unique collection of music, performed with a singularly individual flair by Ms. Latimerlo and accompanied beautifully by Takako Sato Williams.  Each of the songs, including “The Lady is a Tramp,” “He Loves Me,” and “My Way” (to name a few), is intricately woven into a fun and poignant reflection on the nature of life.

Originally produced in March of 2004.
